Dr Kirsten Chee

Emergency Vet Staff

Veterinary Intern – BVSc

Kirsten joins us as a veterinary intern after graduating from the University of Sydney in 2015. She had a previous career in human nutrition and dietetics but decided on a career change to chase her dream job after visiting an after-hours vet with her dog for an emergency surgery!

Kirsten’s passions include emergency treatment and critical care, small animal medicine, animal nutrition and continuing education. She is a member of several groups which aim to continue education for qualified vets to maintain current knowledge.

Her human babies and husband join her fur family, with 2 dogs, 3 cats and two fish! She has quite a mix of big, small, purebred and adopted dogs and cats. In her little spare time, Kirsten goes to the beach to paddle board, reads and loves to garden.

Kirsten is actually a familiar face in the clinic – she is re-joining as a veterinary intern after nursing with us for a few years during her veterinary studies! She also joined us for her fifth year of study for a placement. We are stoked to have her back.
