Sarah always knew she wanted a career in animal care. She set out planning her future career after completing her one week work experience at Featherdale in 2007.
In 2008 Sarah started her study in Certificate II in Animal Studies and volunteered at the
Great Western Animal Hospital for 6 months before gaining a part time position at Hornsby
Veterinary Hospital. While still working part time with them she started her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. In 2010 Sarah completed her Veterinary Nursing Certificate and continued working full time at Hornsby Veterinary Hospital for a further two and a half years.
In 2011 Sarah started studying Certificate III in Captive Animals and Volunteered at The
Australian Reptile Park. Here she gained knowledge and experience working with all kinds of reptiles, birds, and native Australian mammals. During this time Sarah also did volunteering at the
Tasmanian devil conservation programme at Barrington Tops.
Although Sarah set out to work as a zookeeper, working almost 5 years in general practice,
she completely fell in love with veterinary nursing. On completing all her studies Sarah set
out to further grow in the Veterinary industry where she was employed at North Shore
Veterinary Specialist Hospital pursued her career in emergency nursing.
In 2013 Sarah became a valuable member of the incredibly caring team at EVES, where she
has never felt more at home.
