Sam is a vet student at the University of Sydney and while studying she has been working in various vet clinics for the past four years. Prior to this, Sam completed a Bachelor of Nursing at UTS and worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital where she developed specialised skills that she has adapted to veterinary nursing. Sam joined the EVES team in October last year and quickly developed a love for critical care nursing.
When Sam graduates as a vet she hopes to continue working in small animal emergency medicine and has a very strong interest in both ophthalmology and neurology. Sam has hand raised and fostered countless kittens, volunteered with vets overseas, is passionate about animal welfare and the big issues such as the live export trade. When she isn’t at work or uni you’ll find her taking Swedish classes, ordering soy lattes at trendy inner-city cafes, and having conversations with random dogs at parks and beaches.
Sam is owned by a little dog called Dasha, and together they are planning to adopt a greyhound in the near future.
