Abby started as a receptionist here at EVES and has recently started training as a veterinary nurse. She moved to Australia from the United States where she grew up and studied music. Prior to moving to Australia, Abby travelled to many different continents and volunteered with a few wildlife research groups and rehabilitation sanctuaries.
While her educational background lies predominantly in music, she is looking forward to beginning the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine course at the University of Sydney in 2017. Abby hopes to use her veterinary degree to study and treat wild animals, especially those affected by poaching.
Abby has owned cats and dogs her entire life. She has also fostered kittens in the past which is how she fell in love with her new cat, Consuela. Consuela came into EVES at one week old with her three sisters. Since then, she has decided that EVES is her second home and she gets automatic rights to as much wet cat food and cuddles as she pleases while visiting.
Outside of work Abby spends her time singing classical music, enjoying beautiful Aussie beaches, studying for university, and spending time with her friends and family.
